Nintendo przedstawiło listę gier, które pojawią się po części w dniu premiery konsoli Wii, a po części w okresie od premiery do końca tego roku. Nintendo obiecuje, że na sylwestra każdy posiadacz nowej konsoli będzie miał do dyspozycji już 32 tytuły. W dalszej części aktualności pełna lista.

Przedstawicielstwo Nintendo ogłosiło dostępność Wirtualnej Konsoli, która pozwoli na grę w starsze tytuły stoworzone pierwotnie na starsze konsole takie jak: NES, Super NES, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis i TurboGrafx16. Gry na NES-a można kupić za 500 punktów Wii, na Super NES-a za 800 punktów, a na Nintendo 64 za 1000 punktów. Punkty Wii można kupić w sklepie internetowym Nintendo lub w sklepach elektronicznych. Koszt 2000 punktów to 20 dolarów (cent za punkt).
